Bulk Waste and Vergeside Collection
Going forward the Shire will conduct one bulk verge side collection a year. As a trial Council will be providing Wongan Hills townsite residents with two bulk waste tokens for the Wongan Hills Waste Management Facility which will be included with your annual rates notices.

Wongan Hills: 09.05.24
Ballidu: 10.05.24
Remember:
- Please place rubbish on the verge no earlier than ONE week ahead of collection date. Have items ready for
collection by 6:00am on the advertised date. Our team will not return once a street has been cleared.
- Do not create a hazard.
- Do not obstruct footpaths or driveways and ensure neighbouring drivers have a clear sightline from their driveway.
- Do not stack material against walls or fences.
- Do not stack items on top of sprinklers and water meters.
Illegal Dumping
Illegal dumping is the unauthorised discharge or abandonment of waste and is an offence under s.49A of the Environmental Protection Act 1986. On conviction, the offence carries a maximum penalty of $125,000 for corporations and $62,500 for individuals. Our contract Ranger polices this and can issue infringements. The Shire of Wongan-Ballidu provides multiple options for waste disposal and encourages all residents to refrain from illegal dumping in our Shire.

Skip Bin Hire
The Shire of Wongan-Ballidu does not currently offer skip bin hire. Avon Skip Bins service our region and can provide 6m3, 8m3, 10m3 or 12m3 skips for short or long term hire. Please visit their website for more information and their contact details.
