The Shire wishes to advise the district of the resignation of Ms Elyssa Giedraitis from the Shire of Wongan-Ballidu Council, effective today, 15 July 2024.
Elyssa was appointed to Council in October 2023 and since commencing has made many invaluable contributions to Council’s decision-making processes and shared numerous ideas for new initiatives and improvements within the community. Elyssa has made the tough decision to resign from Council due to a plethora of other work and personal life commitments.
Elyssa’s contributions will be missed, and on behalf of the Shire of Wongan-Ballidu we wish her all the very best in her future endeavours.
The Shire will now undertake due process in conjunction with the Western Australian Electoral Commission to fill this vacancy via an extraordinary election.
