DBCA to manage rabbits in Wongan Conservation Park
The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions will be undertaking rabbit control to protect threatened plants in Wongan Conservation Park from Monday 25 March to Sunday 30 June 2024.
The Wongan Triggerplant is listed as Critically Endangered and occurs only in vegetation surrounding Wongan Hills townsite, including Wongan Conservation Park.
Please look out for 1080 bait warning signs and ensure domestic animals do not enter Wongan Conservation Park at any time.
There are many dog-friendly walking areas in and around Wongan townsite, such as the Wongan recreation ground and Christmas Rock walk trail.
Thank you for helping us conserve threatened plants in our community.
