As of Monday 6th January 2025 all Shire and CRC customer services will be centralised and provided from the Wongan Hills CRC at "The Station" at 1 Wongan Road. Customer enquiries, walk in's and transactions will take place at the Wongan Hills CRC as of this date.

The Shire wishes to advise the district of the resignation of Ms Elyssa Giedraitis from the Shire of Wongan-Ballidu Council, effective today, 15 July 2024.
The Special Meeting of Council which was scheduled for Wednesday 10 July 2024 has been cancelled. The July Ordinary Meeting of Council will still take place on the fourth Wednesday - 24th July 2024 for the adoption of the 2024-2025 budget.
After almost 17 years, the Shire of Wongan-Ballidu’s longest serving Chief Executive Officer, Stuart Taylor, announced his retirement to relax and enjoy the finer things in life with his lovely wife Clare.
In a project organised by the Wongan Arts Society to install further sculptures within Wongan, as well as contributing towards the creation of an Art Trail, the Shire of Wongan-Balldiu have assisted with the installation of two sets of native animal sculptures.

The Shire has opened the Pavilion at the Wongan Hills Recreation Centre with power, air conditioning, tea and coffee creating an area for those with no power to go.
